Over Presidents’ Day weekend, 35 members of the Sierra Nevada Region attended Sunset Happy Hour at Palisades Tahoe. Our adventure began with an eight-minute scenic ride aboard the aerial tram to High Camp, ascending from 6,200′ to 8,200’ over majestic granite rock formations while taking in the magnificence of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Upon reaching the summit, we gathered inside the Terrace Restaurant for tasty appetizers and beverages, as well as live music. Views of Lake Tahoe and our snowcapped peaks were nothing short of spectacular! Once the sun went down, we all made our way back down the mountain, just ahead of what was predicted to be a powerful winter storm.
