Porsches and Pastries

Porsche and Pastries kicked off its first event of the year at Bartley Ranch Regional Park with approximately 60 attending.  Our host for the event was a new member of the club, Bill Wilson.   He ordered, picked up and delivered 120 Doughboy donuts and Einstein bagels to the park and managed to fit all of the supplies into his daily driver, a 2000 996 Carrera.

Mike and Carol Wallack, our forever dependable setup assist members, showed up early to help with organizing all the tables for donuts and coffee.  Denise and Ron Lewis and others pitched in for cleanup.

We had help from two little baristas; Kayleigh and Katy who are getting an early start in the food and beverage business. Attired in their 911 logo shirts, aprons and chef’s hats, they poured coffee and handed out donuts to our members.  Both love riding in Bill’s Porsches.

Bill added Einstein bagels and smear back to the event, complete with a toaster!

Thanks to all who gathered at our first pastry and donut social – looking forward to seeing you next month.  We are always looking for volunteers to host an event and yes you can make the donuts and coffee fit in your Porsche – proving these are the most practical sports cars on the planet.
