Join us for a pre-event drive before we attend Steve & Lucette Simon’s end of season Fall Potluck at their home in Gardnerville on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Enjoy beautiful Fall colors on the drive and at the Potluck!!
PLEASE CHOOSE THE CLUB DRIVE AND POTLUCK OPTION BELOW or OPTION OF THE POTLUCK ONLY (driving there on your own).
Should the weather cooperate, we will have our primary planned drive with some mountain roads involved. If weather does not cooperate, but still allows us to drive, we will have an alternate desert drive.
We will have 2 meeting points for this drive.
Reno area folks will meet up at Chase Bank on Wedge Parkway at 10AM. We will depart shortly after down old 395 around the eastern side of Washoe Lake and head down to Carson City. (If you want to participate in that portion of the drive, please meet us in Reno).
If you don’t want to make that portion of the drive, please use the Carson City meeting spot. We will stop in Carson City at the Gold Dust West Casino by 11 AM. (Easier to re-enter the freeway should our primary drive option still be in play). We will proceed south down 395, continue up 50 through South Lake Tahoe, cut over Luther Pass Road to 88 over to Markleeville. over Monitor Pass, and double back up 395 arriving at the Simons’ home at roughly 1PM.
Backup route if weather does not cooperate. After meeting up in Carson, we head East on 50 and travel South to Yerington to make a loop back to Gardnerville for the delicious potluck.
The potluck will be hosted by Steve and Lucette Simon at their home. They will be providing at no charge: pulled pork sliders, BBQ, chicken, baked beans, soft drinks and water.
POTLUCK: Please bring your favorite appetizer, side dish or dessert to share. Bring your own alcohol if you want. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR OR BLANKET.
There will be a grass parking area for all the beautiful Porsches behind their home.
