Volunteers Appreciation Dinner by Debbie Hertel

The Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at The Gas Lamp Restaurant gathered a wonderful turnout of 54 members on November 14th.  The evening honored all of our hardworking volunteers who stepped up to offer their time, talents, expertise and fun with Porsche tours, tech sessions and social events.  The Gas Lamp graciously offered the entire bar and restaurant to our group for the evening.

John and Debby Hertel were hosts for the dinner that began with a thru the door greeting for all members.  Volunteers received a thank you card and gift choice of a SNV-PCA etched logo wine glass or newly created beer mug.  Then with glass or mug in hand, they sipped wine or guzzled beer compliments of the club. Thank you to Steve Kent for the perfect idea for these glasses/mugs to be enjoyed for years.

The cozy bar gathered members for drinks and delectable appetizers while lively conversations took over. We then moved to the inviting dining room where servers Bravo and Jake efficiently took all our plated orders. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Caesar salad, bread, large portioned entre choices of pork chop, sirloin steak or salmon followed by delicious custard berry dessert.

President Millie Smith stood and warmly recognized by name and event each 2019 club volunteer.

Craig Kugler acknowledged the excellent, hard work of our volunteer board and the importance of members to serve as volunteers for the continued growth of our vibrant SNV-PCA group.

Debby Hertel presented several Thanksgiving month themed door prizes “being thankful” for our members and volunteers.

A big THANK YOU to our amazing Board and 2019 Volunteers.  Your endeavors make our club “not just about the cars, but the people!”
