Join us for a tour of the Minden Auto Museum, followed by a Basque dinner on Sunday, October 13.  For the Reno/Sparks folks there will be an organized drive from the McDonald’s on Wedge Parkway (Mt Rose Hwy) to the Dairy Queen in Minden to meet up with the Genoa, Gardnerville, and points south folks, then on to the Auto Museum. The museum tour starts at 1:30 pm and will be lead by Ned Bacon whose father collected the 90 plus classic cars in this collection, beginning in 1954.  Eighty percent of the cars are from the period 1911 to 1929. The main focus of the collection is the “Nickel Era” from 1916 to 1924, when there were over 1600 car companies in the country. Many are brands you may not have heard of.

Following the museum tour which will take approximately 3 hours, we will drive to the Carson Valley Country Club at the south end of Gardnerville for a Basque dinner. The dinner will include steak, chicken, salmon, French fries, soup, salad, beans, bread, table wine, and ice cream. The price for the dinner is $37.50/person. NO HOST bar for additional adult beverages. The museum tour is free of charge and is limited to 36 club members.

Your hosts for this event are Steve and Lucette Simon. You can contact Steve at (775) 265-7777 for additional information about this event.
