Hello Sierra Nevada Region!  Here’s an opportunity to mingle with some folks  from another PCA region.  That’s right, some of the High Desert Region (Southern Oregon) club are coming to Reno and we’re getting together for a day of fun!  The day will be defined by three activities. You can pick and choose which of the 3 events (1, 2 or 3) you’d like to register for.

1.) Morning drive to lunch in Virginia City

2.) Dinner at Napa-Sonoma South Restaurant at 5 PM

3.) A night of theater for the Reno Magique Show!

On June 8, we’ll meet up at 18300 Wedge Parkway (Chase Bank) at 9AM. From there, we’ll head up Mt Rose to Incline Village and down the eastern side of Lake Tahoe to Kingsbury Grade.  Then, it’s down Foothill Rd/Jack’s Valley Rd to 395, East on 50 to 341 and up the Truck Route (aka: Virginia City Hill Climb) to Virginia City where we’ll have 2 hours with the High Desert Region (HDR) club to explore and do an on-your-own lunch. We have 40 spaces reserved at the Bonanza Cantina and another 40 reserved at the Palace Saloon for lunch (that’s total of 60 for our club as we’re expecting 20 from the HDR club).

After lunch, we’ll break for a few hours and then meet for dinner at 5PM at Napa-Sonoma South (7671 South Virginia St, Reno).  There will be group drive from Virginia City to Napa-Sonoma South leaving at 4:15PM, down Geiger Grade (341) to South Virginia St. The waiver you sign for the drive to Virginia City includes the drive from Virginia City to Napa-Sonoma South, should you decide to do that.

Dinner is $70 per person.  That will cover a 3-entree buffet (Antipasto Platter, Caesar Salad, Chicken Piccata, Mushroom Ravioli, Prime Rib, and Carrot Cake), one non-alcoholic drink, taxes, room charge, and gratuities. There’s only 20 spaces available for Sierra Nevada members, so sign up early if you want the dinner.

After Dinner you have the option to join the HDR folks at the magic show from 8PM – 10PM. You can register and pay for this event below and the HDR club will buy the tickets; they’ve arranged for a 10% group discount. If you elect for front row seating you will be seated in the first 3 rows, with the HDR club.

Meet just West of McDonalds between Bank of America and Chase Bank. We are expecting our turn out will overwhelm McDonalds parking lot.
