Please join for us for a fun club drive to Graeagle for a barbecue on Saturday, July 20, 2024. This event is hosted by Blake and Terry Martelle at their home in Graeagle. There is no charge for the barbecue (hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, & beans) and drinks (beer & water), graciously provided by our hosts and the club. Wine and soda drinkers will need to bring their own drinks. Please bring your own chair.

The drive will start from the Shell Station on Red Rock Road (8755 N RedRock Road, just off US 395). We’ll meet there at 10:30 am to sign waivers, distribute route maps, chat a bit and then following a short driver’s meeting will leave at 11:00 am, heading Northwest on US 395 toward Hallelujah Junction and CA 70.  Then it’s West on CA 70 until we reach Vinton, where we turn left onto CA 49 and follow CA 49 South and West through Loyalton, Sierraville and Sattley. Just beyond Sattley we take the left fork and continue on CA 49 west to Bassetts Station. At Bassetts station turn right onto Gold Lake Highway and stop to re-group in the open lot (at the turn-off).  Gold Lake Highway will end at Hwy 89 just south of Graeagle. Turn left onto Hwy 89 to Graeagle, we turn left at the Mountain Frostee (picture on right) onto Johnsonville Road and follow it a short distance until we turn left onto Goldridge Rd.
