1. Strategy

Shaping the future of the sportscar – this is the theme of Strategy 2025. At the heart of the strategy is our future product portfolio. The sportscar of the future will blend the history and values of the Porsche brand with innovative technologies, while at the same time ensuring sustainability. In achieving this, topics such as electromobility, digitalisation and connectivity will play an important role. Embracing these topics will allow us to shape the exclusive and sporty mobility of tomorrow. Nevertheless, with all the innovations and modifications in front of us, one thing remains constant: Anything that carries the Porsche crest will also feature the excellent quality that is synonymous with Porsche.

The company’s main objective is to achieve value-generating growth. Only by achieving such growth can we make sustainable investments in innovative technologies, new products, and most importantly, in our team here at Porsche.

With this approach we are already on our way towards rethinking dynamic mobility. We want to excite customers with our products and services. We are also aiming to consolidate our reputation as an excellent employer and business partner that fulfils its social and environmental responsibilities. And the return needs to be sufficient too.

2. Facts & figures

In the 2016 financial year, Porsche AG achieved record highs in terms of deliveries, revenue, operating result and number of employees. Deliveries increased by six per cent to 237,778 vehicles, thereby achieving a revenue of 22.3 billion euros (an increase of four per cent). At the same time, the operating result rose disproportionately by 14 per cent to 3.9 billion euros. Return on sales experienced particularly impressive growth, increasing from 15.8 per cent (2015) to 17.4 per cent. By the end of 2016, Porsche’s workforce had grown by 13 per cent to 27,612 employees.

3. The Executive Board

Oliver Blume has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG since October 1st, 2015. Other members include Lutz Meschke (Finance and IT, Deputy Chairman), Andreas Haffner (Human Resources and Social Affairs), Detlev von Platen (Sales and Marketing), Albrecht Reimold (Production and Logistics), Uwe-Karsten Städter (Procurement) and Michael Steiner (Research and Development).

4. The Supervisory Board

Dr. Wolfgang Porsche has been Chairman of the 21-member Supervisory Board of Porsche AG since 2007. His deputy is Chairman of the Central and Corporate Works Council Uwe Hück.

5. The sites

The heart of Porsche beats in Zuffenhausen. That is where the management has its headquarters, and the sports cars and all engines are also built here in northern Stuttgart. The Research and Development Centre is situated in Weissach. It has grown substantially over the last few years – as did the second production site of the company in Leipzig, where the Cayenne, Panamera and Macan roll off the assembly lines today. Furthermore, a part of the After Sales division is located at Ludwigsburg aswell as the Digital GmbH. The main spare parts warehouse is at Sachsenheim. And Bietigheim-Bissingen is the home of several subsidiaries.
