The Sierra Nevada Region spring season officially kicked off with the annual New Member Breakfast – typically one of the most popular of the year. This year’s breakfast was hosted by Karen Goody and Karen Vibe at the attractive Hidden Valley Country club.
Close to 50 new and veteran club members mingled before sitting down to enjoy a delicious buffet. Club President Steve Kent welcomed the new members and took the opportunity to explain the club’s history, purpose and range of activities offered. He introduced the Club’s Board and new members had an opportunity to introduce themselves. New member Ray Barringer brought his whole family which gave Craig Kugler a chance to explain the PCA Juniors program for Porsche enthusiasts under the age of 18 (for more information on this program, please see www.pca.org/pca-juniors).
After breakfast, members headed outside for the People’s Choice Concours. The turnout of Porsche cars was dampened by early morning rains, but by the time judging began, the sun sun had broken through and the competition was keen. Voting came down to the last ballot cast and Tommy Livoti’s lovely blue Boxster stole the show. Congratulations Tommy!
